The Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering recognizes students who have worked diligently to excel academically and contribute to advancing the Fulton Schools mission.
Each semester, the Fulton Schools selects members of the graduating class who embody academic excellence, leadership and community service during their time as students. These exceptional students have excelled in research, public service, entrepreneurship and outreach.
Students chosen as Outstanding Graduates are honored for their exemplary academic performance and participation in activities that enhance their engineering skills. Impact Award winners are selected for their leadership, volunteer and service roles that have positively impacted the communities.
These students are deeply committed to making a positive impact on the world around them. Whether it is through volunteer work, community service, or other activities, these graduates are dedicated to improving the lives of those around them in the ASU community, Arizona and globally.

BS in environmental and resource management
Serving in the U.S. Army inspired Brendan Dee Adair to pursue a career in environmental and resource management.

Shaira Alam
BSE in computer systems engineering, minor in business
Shaira Alam identifies as a problem solver and has found that her major of computer systems engineering brings the best of both worlds in hardware and software.

Mitchell Bader
BS in human systems engineering
After graduation, Mitchell Bader wants to become a user researcher to impact the safety, accessibility and inclusivity of engineering systems.

Emmie Benard
BSE in materials science and engineering
Outstanding Graduate Emmie Benard honed her research ability through FURI and a Summer Undergraduate Laboratory Internship at Brookhaven National Laboratory.

Aarushi Bharti
BS in technological entrepreneurship and management
A natural leader, Aarushi Bharti positively impacted others and led the Women in Science and Engineering student organization as president during her time at ASU.

Wyatt Blackson
BSE in chemical engineering and BS in biochemistry
Wyatt Blackson conducted biomedical research as a Helios Scholar for TGen and through both FURI and EPICS at ASU. Blackson will continue his education as a chemical engineering doctoral student at Stanford University.

Taylor Brown
BSE in construction engineering
A U.S. Army Corps of Engineers internship and winning a first-place award in an Associated Schools of Construction competition enhanced Taylor Brown’s education.

Matthew Cardinale
BSE in mechanical engineering
Matthew Cardinale led a subteam to the CanSat Mechanical Engineering Competition. After graduating, he will begin work as a systems engineer for Northrop Grumman.

Tianna Chemello
BSE in environmental engineering
Tianna Chemello aspires to use her engineering skills to help communities develop solutions that will enable them to gain and maintain access to clean water.

Jasmin Falconer
BSE in electrical engineering
Jasmin Falconer majored in electrical engineering to pursue her passion for physics. Her achievements earned National Merit and Goldwater Scholarships.

Kolby Feyen
BS in aviation management technology
Kolby Feyen attended ASU to pursue his dream of becoming an airline pilot. He was an aviation tutor, a flight instructor and the social chair of Alpha Eta Rho.

Zachary Goode
BS in manufacturing engineering, BSE in engineering (robotics)
Zachary Goode was highly involved in research ventures during his time at ASU. He plans to continue on that trajectory in the Accelerated Master’s degree program.

BS in software engineering
Kealen Heinz has an appreciation for the industry, theory and academics surrounding the profession of software engineering.

Michelle Houchins
BS in computer science, minor in Russian
Michelle Houchins has been inspired by women in engineering and, in the future, hopes to be a leader making STEM and technology accessible to girls.

Catherine Johnston has made a global impact through her involvement with the EPICS program, working on projects that reach from South Africa to Mongolia.
