Detecting innovators: Welcome, Sun Devils!

More than 8,500 engineering and technology students are joining the Fulton Schools this fall, adding to a community of innovators making an impact on the world.

We are excited to welcome more than 8,500 new engineering and technology students to the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering this fall.

Whether you are from Arizona, across the country or around the world, a first-generation student or continuing a legacy of higher education, earning your degree at the Tempe campus, Polytechnic campus or online, we welcome your diverse backgrounds, perspectives and experiences. And at the Fulton Schools, we are here to support you every step of the way.

Master’s degree student enrollment has more than doubled from last year — with an even larger increase among international master’s students. You are joining a community of advanced degree seekers making an impact through interdisciplinary and use-inspired research.

For our returning students, it has been an unprecedented past year. We are proud of what you’ve accomplished through your resilience and adaptability, and now we enthusiastically welcome you back for a new semester full of opportunities.

No matter where you are in your Fulton Schools journey, we encourage you to customize your experience to make the most of your time with us and set yourself apart as an engineering or technology graduate. As a Fulton Schools student, you have many opportunities outside the classroom, from clubs to competition teams, entrepreneurship opportunities to engineering projects for community service, research to outreach and much more.

First-year and transfer students — whether you live on campus, commute or earn your degree online — can take advantage of peer mentors who will help you get familiar with these resources and make connections with other Sun Devils.

We hope you start the academic year inspired to innovate and engineer a better world. We can’t wait to see what you accomplish with the Fulton Schools.
