Riha Shah – Distinguished Graduate

Riha Shah B.S.E. in Engineering ManagementRiha Shah Graduated from Mountain Pointe High School in Phoenix, Arizona Originally from Mumbai, India Riha Shah moved with her family from India to Arizona in 8th grade. She chose to attend ASU where she said “the opportunities and options for what you want to achieve are endless.” She was an honors student in Barrett, the Honors College. What was a memorable moment at ASU for you? My most memorable moment at ASU was definitely sitting as a freshman in the Fall 2011 Welcome Assembly and watching Sparky make the trip from the Grand Canyon to ASU. That is the moment when I realized I will be a Sun Devil for life! Can you name a professor who was particularly instrumental in helping you grow as a student? How and in what way did they impact you? Professor of Practice Daniel McCarville in the School of Computing, Informatics, and Decision Systems Engineering has been the most helpful professor in my years at ASU. He has not only helped me develop academically but also professionally, and I will always be grateful for that. What are your plans after graduation? Graduate school? Do you have a job lined up? I will be moving to New York to work for PepsiCo. I do see graduate school in the future, but want to gain some industry experience first.
